How to Restore Data in Busy-21?

Data can get corrupted or lost due to various reasons such as virus attack, hard disk crash and so on. In such a case, if you have taken backup of the data then data can be restored using the backup copy. To restore the data for a company, the Company menu provides the Restore option.
You do not need to open the company for which you want to restore the data. You need to start BUSY, click the Company menu, and select the Restore option.
- Click the Restore Data option.
- On clicking the Restore option, a Data Restoration window appears asking from where you want to restore the data. Given here is a screenshot of the Data Restoration window.

Path for Restoration
Enter the path in the Path for Restoration data field. A Data Restoration message box appears confirming the backup copy found at the path.
After specifying the path, click the Ok button to start the Restoration process.
If you are restoring the full data of a company and a company with the same name exists in BUSY then BUSY will open a Company Exist message box. It will ask you whether it should overwrite the existing data for the company. If you click the Yes button, Super User name and Password will be asked. After specifying valid Super User name and Password, BUSY will overwrite the existing data with the backup copy. If you click the No button, BUSY will create another company with the same name. To differentiate the two companies BUSY will append the current date with the newly created company.
Similar is the case if you are restoring the data of a single financial year of a company and a company with the same financial year exists in BUSY then BUSY will open a F.Y. Exist message box. It will ask you whether it should overwrite the existing data for the company. If you click the Yes button, BUSY will overwrite the existing data with the backup copy. If you click the No button, BUSY will create another company with the same financial year. To differentiate the two companies BUSY will append the current date with the newly created company.
On successful completion of data restoration, a Data Restoration Successful message box appears.
