In a general
business scenario, numerous transactions take place such as sales / purchase of
goods or receipt / payment of cash. Generally, these transactions are recorded
in a single register, Journal Register. The maintenance of these transactions
becomes a tedious process when the business expands and the number of
transactions increases multiple times. In such a case, there is a need to
categorise the transactions and record them in different registers depending on
the type of transaction. This will help in knowing the exact position of the
business based on the transactions.
